OakBridge is dedicated to improving the assets’ financial performance through prudent and specialized strategies and work with our clients and their advisors to identify their estate planning needs for their real estate assets. We have experience working with Fortune 500 firms including General Electric, Halliburton, Sony, Diageo, Woodward, and Accenture as well as single entity trusts designed for long term family wealth creation.

Aaron: Founder

aaronAaron Schlagel founded OakBridge to provide specialized professional real estate services to families and trustees interested in long term wealth creation.  Prior to its founding, Aaron served as the Senior Development Manager for The W.W. Reynolds Companies in Boulder, Colorado. Reynolds is a commercial private equity real estate development and professional real estate services firm. His latest project resulted in the successful entitlement of a 950,000 SF, $200M world headquarters for a $2B client and included $23.5M worth of incentives in Fort Collins, Colorado. At W.W. Reynolds, Aaron was responsible for the project management of commercial developments and assisted with the site and financial analysis of several current and future projects. Other responsibilities with W.W. Reynolds included asset management, risk mitigation, market analysis, due diligence, feasibility studies, community outreach, operations and budgeting. The firm currently owns and manages over 3 million square feet of commercial office, retail, multifamily, and industrial property along the Colorado Front Range.Prior to joining The W.W. Reynolds Companies, Aaron was a Project Manager with Accenture in NYC in their Supply Chain Strategy practice. While there he assisted companies such as Sony, Diageo, and Halliburton with various projects in the UK, Spain, Netherlands, Canada and USA.  His experience included conducting the business site due diligence for greenfield development for manufacturing facilities in Monterey, Mexico.

Currently Aaron serves on the Alumni Board for the University of Colorado Real Estate Center and is on the Leeds School of Business Alumni Board. Aaron was awarded the Bruce Etkin Urban Land Institute (ULI) Fellowship and is one of the acting Vice-Chairs in the Small Scale Development Council for the ULI.  He graduated with a degree in Business and Spanish from the University of Kansas and an MBA in Real Estate Development and Finance from the University of Colorado. Aaron currently resides in Overland Park, KS with his wife, Sarah, and remains an avid Jayhawk. He is a licensed real estate professional in the state of Kansas.

George: Business Development, Legal Council

BioPicture_GJSGeorge Schlagel is a fourth generation Kansas Citian who has assisted trust clients and families with hundreds of real estate transactions and asset and property management services for the last 40 years.  As an Accredited Estate Planner®, real estate attorney, and founding member of Schlagel Kinzer LLC, he specializes in providing real estate investment advice and navigating complex legal issues for the betterment of his clients and their assets. With expertise in trust administration, estate planning, and portfolio management, he currently manages several multi-million dollar real estate portfolios on behalf of his clients making short and long range investment decisions on their behalf.

With a long history of real estate investment success he offers our clients an in-depth market knowledge and expertise in the following areas; asset and property management, development management, entitlements, 1031 exchanges, financing, and long-term value creation. He is currently developing a 520,000 square foot warehouse at the front door of Logistics Park, Kansas City on behalf of his investors and routinely places multi-millions of dollars of equity in assets to match his clients’ short and long term investment goals.

As an active member of his community, George is a board member on the Johnson County Park and Recreation Commission, the past president and 30-year member of both the Olathe Chamber of Commerce and the Olathe Noon Rotary Club, on the Olathe Public Building Commission and a contributing member in various other civic and business organizations in the Johnson County Community. He is a member of the Johnson County, Kansas, Missouri, and the American Bar Association and the Eastern Kansas Estate Planning Council.  He resides in Olathe, Kansas with his wife Gale and enjoys supporting the Kansas Jayhawks.
